Our Purpose
Our purpose is to support families as they are caring for a critically ill child. Many times one or both parents are not able to work. There may be other children in the family that need to be cared for and the bills still continue to come.
Families that may not live near the hospital need to pay for out of pocket expenses, including: housing, gas and much more. Without support, they can easily deplete any savings they may have had.
Over Kyden's 4 short years on earth, he spent half of them in the hospital. It became our second home. We had no idea the struggles families of critically ill children face until we became one of them. Kyden's last 4 months were spent in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The place where the sickest children in the hospital stay. Obviously, terrible times for any family. But we made it the best place possible.
We want to educate the community on blood and organ donation. We want to raise awareness to the needs of families with children with CHD's. We want to offer hope and support to many.
